Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 12, 2026

Welcome to Voxi.fm, operated by Mochi Digital AB ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Sweden. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Service includes:

Personal Data

Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and payment information, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Service or when you choose to participate in various activities related to the Service. If you sign in using a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive your email address from that provider.

Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Service, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Service.

Financial Data

Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the Service. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our payment processor, Stripe, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

Content Data

When you use Voxi.fm to generate audio, we store the text content you provide (including article text, titles, and introductions) as part of your audio library. This allows you to re-generate, edit, and manage your audio content. Your text content is retained in your account for as long as your account exists or until you delete the specific item.

Usage Data

We log account-related events such as account creation, sign-ins, and subscription changes for security, support, and service improvement purposes. We also track your token usage (the number of audio generations) to enforce plan limits.

Browser Storage

We use your browser's local storage to maintain session state, such as your authentication status and in-progress audio generation settings. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

2. Use of Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Service to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process your payments and refunds.
  • Generate audio from the text content you provide.
  • Email you regarding your account, audio generation status, or subscription.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Service.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
  • Diagnose and fix errors in the Service.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

By Law or to Protect Rights

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate Voxi.fm. Your data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Cloud / Firebase — Authentication, database (Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), and server-side functions (Cloud Functions). Your account data, content, and generated audio files are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure.
  • Google Gemini API — Text-to-speech generation. The text content you submit is sent to Google's Gemini API for audio generation. Google's AI terms and data usage policies apply to this processing.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. We do not store your credit card information; it is handled entirely by Stripe.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — Transactional email delivery for account notifications such as audio generation completion or failure.

4. Public Content

Certain features of Voxi.fm may make your content publicly accessible:

  • Podcast RSS Feeds — If you create a podcast feed, the feed URL and its contents (episode titles, descriptions, and audio) are publicly accessible by design, as required by the RSS standard.
  • Embeddable Player — If you embed your audio on external websites, the article title and audio file URL become accessible to anyone who views the embedded player.
  • Audio File URLs — Generated audio files are stored with URLs that do not expire. While these URLs are not publicly listed or guessable, anyone who has a direct link can access the audio file.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data and content for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual audio items or articles at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, audio files, articles, podcast items, and projects — is permanently deleted.

6. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

As Mochi Digital AB is based in Sweden, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of your personal data. Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification — You can request that we correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure — You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.

  • Right to Data Portability — You can request your data in a portable format. Contact us to make this request.
  • Right to Object — You can object to our processing of your personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at help@mochi.is. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — Processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for (account management, audio generation, payment processing).
  • Legitimate Interest — Processing necessary for security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and error diagnostics.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States, where our third-party service providers (Google Cloud, Stripe, Amazon Web Services) operate. These transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Policy for Children
